Hey there! I'm Krish Patel, a junior at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Originally from the Bay Area, I'm currently residing in Los Angeles. My heart beats for artificial intelligence (AI), Computer Networking, and Cloud Computing. I am a Computer Science student with a passion for Computer Science. In my free time, I'm either experimenting at my homemade lab, growing bacterial/fungi cultures, or gardening. and the boundless world of cloud computing.

Developed React interface (Flask, HTML/CSS, Clarifai) for sentiment analysis of company tweets using clarifai’s NLP model (-1 to 1 scale). Integrated GPT-4 and GPT-3.5-turbo APIs for further financial analysis reports

Employee Management(Angular+Json-server)

Developed an Angular application integrated with a JSON server, enabling CRUD operations for efficient employee data management. Conducted API testing using Postman to ensure robust functionality and reliability. Implemented cookie-encrypted authentication on the Angular frontend for enhanced security. Designed an intuitive and visually appealing user interface for an improved user experience.

FitMatch (React and MongoDB)

Developed a React app's backend for users to find and healthily compete with fitness partners with similar interests and preferences. Designed frontend and backend solutions for Dashboard, Viewprofile, and Profile pages, enabling seamless user info management. Resolved server-side issues, eliminated data display/login issues tied to multiple server requests, improving user experience. Increased university gym attendance, with 50%+ of users reporting increased consistency and accomplishing fitness goals.

Optimized Gradient Descent Screenshot

Optimized Gradient Descent (Python)

Developed a custom gradient descent optimizer in Python that outperforms the popular Adam optimizer for deep learning models. Used advanced techniques such as momentum updates, learning rate annealing, and gradient clipping for stable convergence. Performed extensive tests on standard datasets, resulting in up to 20% faster training/enhanced performance on tasks(15%). Implemented dynamic learning rate scheduler that adapts to loss landscape, further boosting convergence speed/model performance.

Ext2 File System Screenshot

Ext2 File System (C and Unix)

Successfully replicated the Ext2 file system including the creation of bitmaps, inode tables, symlink/hardlink handling, and cleanup processes. Implemented data structures such as btrees and hash tables to manage file and directory structures efficiently. Ensured data integrity and consistency by handling complex operations like file deletion and block allocation. Performed extensive testing and validation in directory deletion/mounting, etc, demonstrating robustness and reliability.
